LEONARDO B. ROSARIO
A development manager with more than 20 years experience in managing projects on biodiversity conservation, food security and nutrition, sustainable livelihoods, eco-friendly aquaculture, disaster risk reduction management and local governance. He has skills in the writing of project proposals and technical reports, organizing communities and strengthening organizations, facilitating and managing community training, monitoring and evaluating projects, undertaking participatory action research and case studies, developing social enterprises and auditing project performance based on sustainability principles and criteria.
He obtained a degree in agricultural engineering and a postgraduate diploma in community development from the University of the Philippines. He also earned a certificate in sustainability auditing from ASTRA Academy (formerly ABT Training) in Madrid, Spain and another certificate in Ecological Documentation from Nordic Folkhogskola-Biskops Arno in Balsta, Sweden.
Director Rosario is a member of the Technical Advisory Committee of the United Nations Development Programme Equator Prize in New York City since 2012 up till now, and the Bililarosa Protected Area Management Board of the Province of Northern Samar, Philippines. He was secretary of the Board of Directors of RSB Services Foundation in Fairfax, Virginia, and currently a member of the Assembly of Delegates, the highest decision-making body of the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials in Geneva, Switzerland.
Also a former consultant and coordinator of Smallholder Project of Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials in Geneva, Switzerland who did a short-term consultancy to Professor Fumiko Furukawa of Kobe University in Japan, he is now a consultant of Proforest in the United Kingdom for sustainability assessment
Accountant and Administrative Manager
A certified public accountant and holder of Master of Business Administration. She has more than 10 years experience in developing financial management and accounting systems for non-government organizations and cooperatives. She is currently the Chairperson of the accounting department and teaches managerial accounting and other financial management courses at the College of Business Administration, University of Eastern Philippines.
FLORITA S. CADLIT
Woman Leader- Volunteer
President of the Lavezares Municipal Federation of Fisherfolk Organizations and Women Associations. She is also active in all the activities of Pambansang Koalisyon ng Kababaihan sa Kanayunan (national rural women coalition) representing the province of Northern Samar. Nanay Pyoy started as President of the Women Association of Barangay Barobaybay, a village-level organization which is an active partner of Trowel since 2006

He has more than 20 years experience in the development of equipment and machinery for the processing of coconut coir into coconut twine, geotextile, and other co- products. These products include coco-pots which can replace plastic containers for urban agriculture, coco-net used for soil erosion control and regeneration of vegetation in barren lands and river embankments, mariculture net for trapping phytoplanktons and enhancing algal growth used as feeds for the culture of native fishes, and for making handicrafts.
Training Manager and DRRM Specialist
A holder of Master's degree in Public Administration and currently writing his dissertation for his PhD in Public Administration.
He has extensive experience as a trainer in disaster risk reduction management, hazard-based contingency planning, monitoring and evaluation, process analysis and improvement, public policy analysis, negotiation and dialogue, network and partnership building, campaign and advocacy, process analysis and management, training and workshop facilitation, research, coaching and mentoring.
Glenn is a former consultant of the International Finance Corporation and the USAID SURGE Project where he assisted in the evaluation of offerings to the Request for Proposal. He also leads the PCMJ's campaign on Energy Transformation.
A licensed forester and a Professor of Forestry who has more than 30 years experience in social forestry, timber plantation management, and community reforestation projects.
Also a holder of Master's degree in Public Administration.
Community Development Specialist
A graduate of community development from the University of Eastern Philippines. He has earned 22 units leading to the degree of Master of Science in Teaching Social Studies.
He has been a community development worker for ten years and skilled in community profiling, participatory resource appraisal, and community training. He developed training modules on leadership with project management skills and values-based project management.
