Our Goals |
1. To build and develop the collective capacities of smallholder farmers, small-scale fishers, rural women and youth for community-based natural resources management, forestry, agriculture, and fishery productivity enhancement, development of commodity-based social enterprises, and disaster risk reduction and management towards eradicating poverty and improving the quality of life in farming and fishing communities. 2. To facilitate industry-led local economy development and the development of commodity-based social enterprises for increased income and sustainable livelihoods of farming and fishing communities; and 3. To develop and institutionalize community-based schemes and mechanisms for the conservation of biodiversity and the judicious utilization of forestry, agriculture, and fishery resources. |
Our Development Strategy |
Trowel Development Foundation, Inc. (Trowel) adopts and popularizes co-management approach in pursuit of rural democratization and development objectives. Trowel works in partnership and solidarity with local people’s organizations, local government units, national government agencies, academia, and other non-government organizations in the provision of integrated asset support - human, social, physical, natural and financial - to marginalized rural sectors and peoples particularly smallholder farmers, small-scale fishers, indigenous peoples, rural women, and rural youth.
